Zero Tolerance Policy
The practice considers aggressive behavior to be any personal, abusive and/or aggressive comments, swearing, physical contact and/or aggressive gestures.
All instances of actual physical abuse on a doctor or member of staff, by a patient or their relatives, will be reported to the police as an assault.
Removal Of Patients From The Practice List
We would hope that we could address any areas of disagreement before removal became necessary. However, we will have no alternative but to ask for removal of patients from our practice list in the following circumstances:
- Violence, aggression or abuse
- Threatening behaviour to staff or other patients
- Damage to property
- Dishonesty or deceit
- Breakdown of relationships with a significant number of staff so that continuing to provide care would be impossible.
Should it become necessary, the practice has a responsibility to inform you of the reasons for removal.
